Cardiovascular Physiology

When considering anatomy and physiology you are looking at the structure and function of the body as a whole organism. When you look at the benefits of cardiovascular exercises on the body as a whole organism, you see the major factors that tie in this oxygen increasing workout routine through all 11 systems of the body which include; Integument, Skeletal, Muscular, Nervous, Endocrine, Cardiovascular, Lymphatic, Respiratory, Digestive, Urinary and Reproductive.

The effect that cardio exercise has on the human body is amazing when you think about it, but you have to see that each part has a function, and all of these systems come together completing their functions. By doing so the body is able to function properly. One thing about the body is that it is at a constant battle, fighting for homeostasis, or stability/balance. The ever changing outside world shouldn’t have effects on the turbulent inside workings of our body, so the body uses regulatory systems to prevent this from happening.

Physiology 1

Anatomy & Physiology of the Entire Body and Biological Process

The Integument and Cardio Exercise
Integument means skin; this is the largest organ in the entire body. When you increase your cardio efforts, you increase blood flow which has so many benefits but did you know that one was beautiful skin? Your body breaks down wastes so they are no longer in your body, oxygen circulation is increased all of these things tie into a healthier you. When you are healthy your skin heals quicker too, so say goodbye to unsightly sores when you say hello to a good workout.

Skeletal System and Cardio Exercise
Cardio combined with resistance training will strengthen your skeletal system. By doing this you ward off later threats like low bone density and osteoporosis. The skeletal system is the framework of the body and holds everything together. Bones need regular exercise to stay strong.

Muscular System and Cardio Exercise
When using cardio exercise you can build muscle mass, it is a popular misconception that you can’t. The importance of cardio weighs down on so many factors when creating a healthier you, but when you build muscle you get rid of fats that your body doesn’t need and it increase health and function. With oxygen rich blood flooding your body you are a stronger version of yourself.

Nervous System and Endocrine System Combined with Cardio
The Nervous system and Endocrine System are correlation. They both send messages throughout the body. The Nervous System communicates through nerves and impulses. The Endocrine System communicates through hormones. With cardio you are improving your body’s responses. The level of activity you maintain will positively effect your; sleeping habits, emotional well being and sleep patterns.

Physiology 2

Cardio and the Cardiovascular System
With increase oxygenated blood flowing through and from your veins, arteries and capillaries you are building a stronger inside. When you flush wastes out of the blood you strengthen your artery walls and reduce the chance of heart disease and other nasty attacks on your system. The heart is one of the major functioning systems in the body and it regulates so many things that you need it in optimum working condition.

Respiratory System and Cardio
Oxygen…Oxygen…Oxygen, I can’t say it enough times, we need oxygen to live and cardio exercise increases this one viable body resource. You improve your breathing and endurance with just 15-20 minutes of cardio a day.

The Lymphatic System
The Lymphatic System is your body’s defense system. It contains lymph nodes, lymph, and tonsils to protect you from outside pathogens. When you increase your cardio exercises you increase your body’s ability to ward off infections.

The Digestive and Urinary System
These two systems work together to break down food and pull the essential nutrients and vitamins you need and disburse them through your body, then eliminate the waste. You can regulate both of these systems with proper diet and exercise. With cardio you will break down food properly and your body will get what it needs, and the waste products that are detrimental to your health will be forced out.

Physiology 3

Reproduction and Cardio
Multiple studies show that effective exercise increases fertility and reproductive health. Cardio workouts improve circulation in all parts of the body, and helps with your libido.
