3 Reasons Why "American Idol"'s Pia Toscano Is a Positive Platinum Girl

Generally, I write about female celebrities love lives - who is playing hard-to-get with men versus who is acting desperately. As most of my readers know, being the hard-to-get Platinum Girl is not solely about game playing. Moreover, it is about keeping your boundaries and maintaining a positive demeanor irrespective of what life throws your way.

American Idol's, Pia Toscano, 22, is a wonderful illustration of a Positive Platinum Girl who possesses said qualities. The excerpts from the following interviews with Pia help prove my point.

Reality TV Magazine: The person interviewing Pia mentioned that the judges told her to change it up and when she did, she was voted off. When asked what her thoughts were about this, Pia replied, "It's nobody's fault - the judges were right to change it up. I had no regrets going into it."

Entertainment Weekly: Pia said, "I have lots of amazing memories, the people who I met and doing things that I didn't think that I could do. Every single one of the contestants is just the most classy, standout person."

Us Weekly: Taking it in stride, Pia commented, "You don't know for sure why things happen, but you know, it did! It was my time to go on the show and I'm excited to see what my future holds."

So, why do I think that Pia is a Positive Platinum Girl?

1. Pia did not associate blame with any one of the judges after she was voted off of Idol. If anything, it seems like she greatly appreciated all of the coaching that she received while on the show. The Platinum Girl does not blame her professional mentors and colleagues when things do not go her way. In this case, Pia recognized that their advice was sound.

2. Not only did Pia take the high road with the judges, she afforded the same generosity to her fellow contestants. She did not create a scenario wherein others had an unfair advantage. Pointing out how classy everyone was both complimented those on the show and demonstrated Pia's own grace.

3. Finally, Pia was not looking back with regret and spoke about her future with excitement. Ellen Fein and Sherrie Schneider, co-authors of The Rules: Time-Tested Secrets of Capturing the Heart of Mr. Right say that women should believe in the abundance and goodness of the universe. If not one opportunity, then another will come along.

Where did all of Pia's positivity get her? According to Business Insider, Interscope records signed her up for a record deal just a few days following her Idol elimination. The lesson her for all women is that even if you do not receive that big promotion for which you may have worked so hard, handle it with grace. Your next great opportunity may just be around the corner. Like Pia, you, too, will ...
