3 Reasons Why Cameron Diaz Should Hush

I'm tired of Cameron Diaz. I used to think that she was incredibly charming and talented. Now, I just wish she would hush. Everything I read about lately her makes me roll my eyes because her behavior is so obnoxious. Despite all of her money and fame, she has a lot of work to do in order to attain Platinum Girl status. Below are some excerpts from articles where she is quoted.

Jimmy Kimmel Live: When Jimmy asked her if she enjoyed watching dirty movies, Cameron replied, "I love porn! I love that hotels are so discreet. They always give you that little thing at the bottom. Your room will be charged the same as any other room. No titles are used. All movies cost the same amount."

Playboy: Cameron is quoted, "I like it a little rough. I'm primal on an animalistic level. I love physical contact. I have to be touching my lover, like, always. It's not optional."

Stylist: Cameron, talking about not wanting to marry, said, "Have someone for five years and then another person for five years. Life is long and lucky and yes, love might last forever, but you don't always live with the person you love forever."

So, why do I think that Cameron should hush?

1. There are many, many, many reports that discuss how Cameron spends quite a bit of time with her New York Yankees boyfriend, Alex Rodriguez, in hotel rooms. These stories were particularly rampant when they first started dating. A-Rod's two little girls need not know that their father shacks up in hotel rooms with a Hollywood actress who has a porn fetish that she openly discusses on an evening talk show.

True, Cameron has no obligation to anyone, much less to act as a role model for A-Rod's girls. Yet, her approach is unsympathetic given A-Rod's family went through a very public divorce. And sure, A-Rod is a willing participant. Yet, I have found no articles with A-Rod openly discussing his activities in the bedroom. Cameron should follow his lead and hush.

This is not about being prude. There is nothing wrong with Cameron's appreciation for dirty movies. In fact, Ellen Fein and Sherrie Schneider, co-authors of The Rules for Marriage: Time-Tested Secrets for Making Your Marriage Work, recommend watching a dirty movie to keep the hotness going in a married couple's sex life. They do not recommend, though, discussing it openly such that children find out. In other words, the Platinum Girl can be as dirty as she likes in private, but maintains a tight lip about it in public. Simply put, it is none of anyone's business what she is up to behind closed doors.

2. Again, there are a lot of articles on the internet about how Cameron is all over A-Rod when they are out together. Talking about how she likes it a little rough and must be in constant physical contact with her boyfriend makes her sound like a nut as well as insecure and needy. The hard-to-get girl lets the man try and make constant physical contact with her and does not need to hang all over him. Once again, she also doesn't publicly describe how she likes her sex in the bedroom.

3. Finally, Cameron does a whole lot of talking about how relationships need not be permanent. It is a good thing that she feels this way because I have yet to hear any stories about a man proposing to her. Not Matt Dillon, Jared Leto, or Justin Timberlake. Each of these relationships lasted at least three years, but none of them proposed. It would be one thing if they were all dying to marry her and she simply turned them down after they tried proposing.

Truth be told, though, it doesn't sound as if she knows how to get a ring because she is too busy running her mouth. From the way she is acting with A-Rod, I predict he will not propose either. She will just be considered little more than a woman with whom he can have great sex while watching porn in a hotel room. Nice.

It probably seems like I am being hard on her and I'm inclined to agree. But, women cannot publicly behave in this manner and still garner respect. Compared to the class act women in Hollywood like Diane Keaton, Meryl Streep, and Annette Bening, Cameron utterly lacks this quality. In fairness to her, she might not care to. Sooner or later, she will realize that men don't find that she has much more use beyond that of a sex kitten. Even that gets old for any woman.
